For our new segment SHM (Structural Health Monitoring) in Denmark, we are now looking for a Technical Sales Engineer who will work closely with the Head of SHM in developing the SHM market and take it to next level. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is driven by technical sales, and who wants to be part of a new and expanding area of Sigicom Group.
The Role
As Technical Sales Engineer for SHM, your primarily responsibility will be to drive sales activities within a global reach and create the right pre-requisites to ensure an increase in sales of SHM product offering.
- Expand the customer base in SHM globally: develop and maintain customer interaction and contact in paving the way to ensure interest for SHM products and increase awareness for SHM value proposition for new customers.
- Implement and manage SHM sales, incl. sales plans, budget, forecast and sales targets, and ensure meeting the set deadlines and achieve an increase in sales results.
- Support in analysing potential competitor’s market research and build SHM business case on market offering and customer needs, as a joint effort with the rest of the SHM/CMS team.
- Collect feedback to improve the SHM products.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders at Sigicom to ensure tight teamwork.
The Profile
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in an engineering or other technical field, alt. Business Management or an equivalent field of study.
- A minimum of 5 years of work experience in the following: Sales, managing sales activities, driving customer and market development in similar industries such as offshore wind turbine, monitoring, or structural engineering.
- Technical skillset in offshore, wind turbine industry and understanding the business needs with the ability to provide customer with our product offerings.
- A desire for reaching sales targets and gaining new customers in new markets with new products.
- Previous experience working in international settings, with an understanding of diverse cultures, ways-of-working and environments.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to impact and influence potential new customers and markets.
- Ability to travel for work.
