For our subsidiary in Gothenburg, we are now looking for a Business Area Manager who will play an important part in the development and success of our west coast office and Nordic business operations.
The Role:
The Business Area Manager manages the business area including key operational functions and strategic direction & activities, in ensuring the stability, growth, and success of the company.
This role requires a dynamic and thoughtful leader who understands how to enable a self-sufficient team to continue to thrive long term.
Key Responsibilities:
- Bridge between HQ and Local Office: Act as the key liaison between Sigicom's HQ in Stockholm and the Gothenburg office, ensuring a highly motivated team and efficient daily operations that align with the company’s growth plan.
- Operations Management: Oversee and manage operations, focusing on business needs, performance metrics, and implementing continuous improvements to meet or exceed targets.
- Financial Oversight: Evaluate financial performance, manage budgets, and monitor local expenditures to ensure cost efficiency and profitability.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with regulations, policies, and internal standards.
- Staffing & Recruitment: Oversee staffing requirements, participate in recruitment processes, and ensure the team is adequately resourced.
- Process Implementation: Implement appropriate processes and structures based on guidelines from Sigicom Group HQ to optimize business efficiency.
- Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and present performance reports to Sigicom Group's management team, offering insights and recommendations.
- Employee Development: Lead employee performance follow-ups, assessments, goal setting, and salary reviews to foster individual and team growth.
The Profile:
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business Administration, Business Management, or a related field.
- Previous experience in similar roles, preferably within technical industries.
- Strong ability to manage daily operations while driving strategic goals and initiatives for the business area.
- Proven experience in financial management, budgeting, and cost control.
- Ability to inspire, motivate, and guide the team, providing support in their daily tasks and long-term career development.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across different levels.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Fluency in both Swedish and English is required.
For this position, we are looking for a person who lives in or around Gothenburg.
The role requires frequent visits to Sigicom HQ.
